RUN dont walk. I hired this company to move from New York City to Atlanta.. after charging me a $300 overtime fee because the movers showed up late and stayed 30 min extra, Whats the pod was taken? I contacted PODs 2 1/2 weeks ago and the legal department told me they have record of this pod sitting in the front of my deceased sons home. It must be removed because I am required to get two cars out of the garage and I cant do it. PODs will not respond when I call I get to go around in circles. I sent an email to the legal department and still do not have a response. So I have no choice but to tow this POD and set it in front of the sheriffs office or the courthouse. I dont know what else to do when a lousy company and their legsl department says theyre going to respond and never does. Plus, they have no respect for a Father that has a DECEASED son and an empty house. . PODs absolutely STINKS.

Poor Customer Service

We recently moved to a different state. For this move, we got two pods delivered to our home. One was to be delivered to our new home and the other was to be stored. We packed our things and left the pickup in what we thought were capable hands. Fast-forward to when we expected our things to be delivered - no delivery. They actually cancelled the delivery and said that the pod was returned empty. We contacted customer service and after trying for hours to actually speak to a person, were told that they would have the pod delivered. We went through several days of calling customer service, them saying they had contacted the facility our container was at (later found out they meant they emailed and got no response) and saying they were working on it. After several frustrating days of them flat out lying and saying that they knew where the pod was and were trying to get it delivered, we found out via our old landlord that the pod was left at the house. Due to their poor service, Pods told us they would refund us the total charges for the pod and delivery. Well, they lied. We had to dispute the charges with our bank and they've continued to charge us and actually make unauthorized charges to our card while locking us out of the online account. Additionally, calling customer service is a nightmare. We have sat on hold, waiting to be transferred just to be disconnected and have to start the process over entirely and oftentimes be disconnected again. As soon as we get all of our things, we will NEVER use this company again.

Oh where do I begin? My first container was delivered 15 feet away from my garage in a gravel driveway with the door facing THE OPPOSITE WAY. I have a 6 ft craftsman toolbox. How the *** was I supposed to load that? Fast forward to now, after being charged for them to turn my container around, to my new place halfway across the country, and I cannot open the door of my POD, not because my items have shifted, but their door is out of the track on one side. No charge for them to come open it TWO DAYS FROM NOW. I'm about ready to rip the side out of the container and cancel my credit card. What a piece if *** company. They never answer the phone. It's ALWAYS A HIGHER THAN NORMAL call volume, but oddly enough I've talked to the same person twice. I'm pretty sure 8 people work there. I could not be more pissed off.. if I could rate them a 0/10, I would.

I was quoted several quotes for the storage & rental of my pod at my property & then at their storage facility & the price just changed & went through the roof, so I then disputed the charges but they didn't take the time to thoroughly review my order #s with the quotes to correct any charges or be fair about the pricing I'm being charged with is several hundreds of $'s more a month then I thought I would be paying & after months of trying to get help they just dismiss the dispute & then they tell me I said ok to the higher amount but that's not true so I need to speak to a higher English speaking customer service person that will be fair & help but thats not happening & they have my stuff so I feel I'm not gonna get any help & I've heard other people complain about similar problems with pricing charges.

Once the container was dropped off, I was charged twice what I'd been quoted and began an Escalation with PODS' Dispute Team. I was never contacted by the person responsible for the dispute, ** - Instead they continued to charge me at a rate I had not accepted or confirmed. Very long story. Ill try to make it as short as possible. Ive been using pods since 2020 and it was for a move from Louisiana to Texas. For this, they seemed fine. However, their international moves suck and they were horrible about paperwork and they strung me along for a while. Then we finally got our pod delivered from Corpus Christi Texas to Canada December 5, 2022. Seemed fine at first until I started unloading and opening boxes/plastic wrap. Everything wreaked of mold. Things were covered in it! My childrens electronics no longer worked due to corrosion from salt air/rust and mold. Even the stuff kept in sealed plastic bags stunk. So I did some investigating and have proof that the Corpus Christi location keeps some of their pods outside literally next to the street, unprotected from theft and heat/humidity. They are not empty containers and they have locks on them, so that leads me to believe they are property of other customers. I can only guess that my pod was kept outside for most of its stay there due to the amount of damage on my belongings. Ive been trying to get my money back for the damages but the customer service people suck. I was able to get a partial refund on a couple of things, but definitely not enough. Im definitely pissed off. Im currently trying to file a claim with them for the damages but have a feeling Ill need to take it to a legal level to get anything to happen.

We feel our case was not throughly reviewed. None of our questions were answered. We are suppose to have gotten the May discount of 40% off because 2 pods will be stored at Earth City MO for 4 months or more plus a 10 percent military discount. Also there is a Visa card on our account and it does not belong to us and we have asked about it and still no answer! Also, we never received an email with the new contract after the 2nd pod was ordered. We have been treated extremely poorly and would appreciate answers. As I write this review, I am currently on hold for 30 minutes (listening to ghastly music - they can't even get that right) with no guarantee of a service rep to talk to, or that the service rep will do anything other than transfer me to someone else (as has happened multiple times previously) for another ridiculously long wait. This company has supervisors that encourage their front line workers to lie about the status of the account, the whereabouts of the container, and anything else to make the customer go away. This company blocked my access to my account on-line, but is impossible to reach in any substantive way otherwise. I have had representatives promise me that my container would be moved into the destination state if I would pay xyz$. Although I made the requisite payment, the company reps then told me that they were sorry, but the funds had been misapplied, and the container was still in NY. Now, I can no longer reach anyone. Have asked for the name and contact info of their legal department, but they will not give out that information. My contents of my container are not high value except to me - containing health records related to a current cancer diagnosis, old MRIs, family memorability - and I can't even determine where they are. I have spent many thousands of dollars with PODS to keep the contents in safe storage. Absolutely the worst company I have ever encountered. Awful. Wish I could give no stars.

(1) Everyone is overseas; (2) they can only read from a script; (3) they make promises IN WRITING during the booking process that ironically do not get kept in writing or reality, in the long run, disappears from their records after booking! Told me I was rude for calling them out on lies in the moment. Not the customer service I was ever taught about. UPDATE: Had to reschedule next leg of trip when POD not delivered in time to meet up with long haul movers (PODS DO NOT service all areas of the Continental US!!), ultimately costing my family an extra $8k, because PODS refused to fulfil originally promised drop off date. Made official complaint online with PODS, contacted two days later by PODS customer services, stating they can make the change after all. Too late, locked in with long haul company, cannot accept late offer...later that day received notice that my dispute was resolved with no wrong doing on their part? Convenient.
