Wrong spot for pod
During the call, they asked for specific instructions. I asked for the pod to be delivered with the opening facing towards the cab of the truck and put it next to the garage on the left side on the page driveway and said they put it in the front of the garage towards the left and the current homeowners may not be able to use their garage

I had them all padded very well too. I had insurance throgh pods. I would not recommend taken out insurance.

I contacted PODS customer service to let them know the driver who delivered the PODS cracked the water meter cover in the driveway. I sent pictures as proof.
The response I received was that it was already broken and the driver had to work around it because it was a tripping hazard. I asked for pictures as proof but they said the claim was already denied and refused to provide any proof.
Now I'm stuck replacing it. Really fun when trying to close on my home.

DRIVER TOOK MY POD AWAY
Moved across country using POD-driver delivered my POD to my house he decided the door couldn't be opened and took my POD away to POD facility. I was told I had two options 1) come to the facility the POD door would be cut off and I could move my things to another POD to be delivered at my home 2) come to the facility the POD door would be cut off move my things to a moving truck.
I cancelled my movers and rescheduled movers and rented a truck. Got to the facility and the manager had NO idea the door was to be removed.MY MOVERS EASILY opened my POD door-items were packed in the rented truck. Complained that I had extra expense due to POD-received an email saying it was my fault.
Impossible to get to customer service. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and way too expensive with no accountability.

Being harassed to pay money I dont owe!!!
I called and set up PODS for pickup in February and was told to cancel before this date if needed. When I saw how expensive it would be, I sent an email on JANUARY 28 to cancel immediately because I cant afford it on social security, which was well before the scheduled date to pickup in February.
I got a response that said your information was updated. Thinking well, they acknowledged it thought it was taken care of. Suddenly, I noticed they were trying to take $150 from my credit card in February almost daily and called them immediately to advise of my cancellation in January and was hung up on!!
Next Im getting threats from them about collections and called again, being hung up on again. It was clear they refused to honor my January cancel request and they kept fraudulently try to withdraw this money daily, so I cancelled my card to insure they would not get this money and told the credit card company to block their attempts.
Responding to their threats about not honoring my cancel request I printed out the cancel letter showing the date it was sent and their response and also every attempt they made to withdraw money from my credit card.
Im sick of this crap and need help to make this stop! Lawyers turned me down because they never got this money from me!
So, if they keep ignoring my explanations and go for collections, will a lawyer represent me then???!

I used PODS service when I moved several months ago. I made it very clear to the person I talked to that I needed weight tickets in order to get reimbursed for my move.
PODS failed to get the weight tickets and failed to notify me. Therefore, I had to find out through contacting customer service. Furthermore, I encountered a difficult customer service woman, who would not give me the information I needed in order to attempt to get reimbursed. I have called PODS several times over the past few months, each time the person saying they will give me a call back or an email, which never comes.
Here is how you could rectify the situation: I will receive a full refund from my PODS service from you guys, and I will receive payment from you all for wasting my time.
I estimate I've wasted about 10 hours and my time is worth about $30/hr. If I do not hear back soon, I will be getting a lawyer involved.

Verified ReviewerLeaking PODS Ruined Furniture: Black Mold
We ordered two PODS & one of the PODS leaked badly in one area and did NOT protect against rain/water and ruined our new couch & dining chairs. The Couch now has various molds, including Black Mold (see pics below) all over the cushions.
Remediation is not an option, the items are ruined, and PODS are dragging their feet to help.
On their website it says Protecting your things is important to us. Your container is sturdy, steel-framed, and weather-resistant to safeguard your belongings from the elements." We called & talked to a Rep to verify our items would be safe & they assured us our items would be fine from the elements.

Preferred solution: We would like a refund for all payments for the one POD (the other didn't leak), our brand new couch replaced, along with our dining room chairs reupholstered as they we not new but in good condition (we rarely ate in the formal dining room).

This company charged me $400. Then, on the day they were scheduled to deliver my POD to my new address, they didn't show up.
I called and was told my delivery window had changed to three hours later. Despite this, they never showed up. I called again and was told, 'they should be there any minute.' However, they never showed up. I called again, but there was no answer.
My POD never arrived. It cost me hundreds of dollars in movers' fees as they were waiting for the POD to arrive. To top it off, that was a Saturday and they are closed on Sundays and don't do deliveries on Mondays. So I had to take time off work for this!!
Then, the company charged me an additional $89. I filed a complaint and they gave me a refund of $100. However, they then charged my card $85 two months later.
The customer service was terrible. I've lost hundreds of dollars due to their mistake and they only gave me a $15 credit.

I shared a POD container with my daughter and (ex) son-in-law in July 2023. When he finished with the POD, I still needed the storage.
He called PODS to have the account changed over to my name and for the rental fee to be withdrawn from my/my daughters shared account. It has been automatically withdrawn from this SECU account since July/August 2021 with NO missed payments. On September 14, 2023, I called PODS to pay for delivery and set the date of September 30, 2023 for my container's to be delivered from GA to MD. I was then told that information was not changed over from my daughters ex-husbands name to mine TWO YEARS PRIOR in July 2021 when he called to change it, but it was noted that he called to change it and it should have been.
I was told no worries that the change would be made and the delivery of the POD would take place. However, the POD was not delivered. No one contacted me to inform me of such. I had arranged for my move, paid movers, etc.
This is bad business practice. I called and was told that my container would be delivered the next day. I knew that was impossible because the next day was Sunday, PODs don't deliver on Sundays, and GA was at least 12 hours to MD. I never heard back and called and scheduled another delivery date with PODS for the next week, 10/7/2023.
It was a no-show, again. I called to re-scheduled my delivery for 10/14/2023. I called to confirm the move and was told that the container was on the way and would be here. I was even told that the delivery was only $179 I thought that it was for my inconvenience.
Little did I know that it would never arrive. When I called, I was then told that it was not delivered because I needed to e-sign a form. I e-signed the form and scheduled it for delivery on 11/4/2023. Once again, it was not delivered.
Shame on you, PODS!
I have wasted so man hours on the phone with PODS and on one occasion, they could not tell me if my container would be delivered. I was hung up on. Ive been told that I would have to pay a re-delivery fee for a container that was never delivered. I've been told that I would have to continue paying rent for my container although I've paid for delivery and have been trying to have it delivered.
I have been charged all types of fees that none of the reps can explain and have left me on the phone to try to get answers only to come back and tell me that they cant speak to me. Marissa Ralstaon would return my call and its been over six weeks and I have not spoken to her yet. It is one thing after another. My property is being held hostage!
On the same date (9/14/2023) after paying $1792.65 for the container, PODS also took an additional $438.85 from my account (unauthorized).
This $1792.65 was a one-time payment from a different account that had that specific amount of money in it for the delivery. Every time I inquire about the $438.85, I get put on hold, and they come back with a different bogus explanation. Two weeks after the unauthorized withdrawal of the $438.85, PODS then deducted a $311.00 rental fee-increased from $225) and another $54.00 (container protection fee-never paid). I have NEVER paid either and informed the representative (who agreed and said that he would open a claim for a refund).
I've never received it. I have rental insurance for my container and have never paid this fee. They just take what amount they want. This is fraud at its worse.
This has to stop.
On November 14, 2023, PODS withdrew $379.00 from my account twice and caused an overdraft. This is insane and theft. God has blessed me to have my credit with my financial institution in good standing. However, PODS is ruining it!
I work very hard for my money and my property. It is being flushed down the toilet.
I called PODS on (11/27/2023) and spoke with three reps, was put on hold for long periods of time and told someone would call me back. This is not the first time that this has happened, might I add. Someone finally called me back from the Accounting Department named Price and told me that my account was in the arrears.

This is utterly absurd! I have paid for the delivery and trying to get my container delivered since September. PODS please explain to me and God how my account is $448.00 in the arrears, and where did you come up with this crazy amount? She could not explain the amount.
My rental fee is $225.00 per month, and they have taken ALL of the money out of my account! I have none!!! I was then told that if I don't pay the money, my property will be sold at an auction (crying and praying not). Finally, I was told that she could no longer discuss my case with me.
I would have to speak with Marissa in the legal department who handles accounts that are in arrears and Marissa would call me back. I have been told this by everyone and Marissa has yet to call me back and time is passing, and they are charging me every month. No one can accurately explain the charges and fees and everyone gives a different explanation.
Marissa emailed me late on 11/28 requesting to speak with James Williams to relinquish my container. In other words, at this point, PODS will not allow me to schedule the delivery at all because they said that they need to speak to my daughters ex-husband.
They keep making up things to prolong this and get money. I've explained several times that my daughter's ex is not with my daughter due to domestic-violence. He is in a bad state (PTSD, depression, suicidal-mental challenges). He is also disgruntled because the marriage was dissolved.
He's being very difficult with anything involving my daughter and their child. He will not cooperate with anything attached to her. She feared for her safety and the safety of her children. Against her better judgment, she texted him twice regarding the POD and received no response.
I don't understand why they need to speak to him. She is an authorized person on the account. PODS dropped the ball when they didn't change the name on the account. Pull the phone recording!
I have requested invoices for my $438.00 and $1,792.65 payments, explanation for other withdrawals and PODS refuses to honor my request.
I am so frustrated, upset, and livid! This is highway robbery! Please help me. I do NOT have money to continue to give to PODS.
I want my container with my property. Not only that, but I have had to purchase new clothing, shoes, furniture, dishes, etc. because PODS refuse to deliver my property. I can't continue this with PODS.
PODS customer service has a lot to be desired and has not been helpful.
This type of treatment is unacceptable and unfair. My property is very sentimental. It is expensive and irreplaceable. I put my trust in PODS!
I never expected or deserve this. This has been an emotional and mental roller coaster. I have spent long periods on the phone with PODS to have nothing done.
t has been almost three weeks since I provided my daughter's ex's information to Marissa at PODS and three months since the payment was made to deliver the container to ME. This is a shame before God the way that PODS has treated us and stolen money from our account!
I told PODS my daughter's ex has absolutely nothing to do with this account.
They continue to take money from an account that has nothing to do with him. My daughter is on the PODS' account, however. They asked for the pin number and it was provided. They have withdrawn all kinds of ungodly fees until the account has gone in the arrears!
Shame on them!
This is nothing short of thievery!
PODS continue to hold the container hostage. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the container belongs to my daughter's ex-NOTHING!

Beware of this company I called in and described that I needed to move a 2/2 condo. I was told that I needed an 8 foot container and never given any further options to choose from going with the representatives choice.
I was given an 8 foot container upon arrival I realize that of course my condo would not fit in that container. I called in and asked for a replacement to be sent out. I was told that none were available and unfortunately, I had to have my items removed from the condo that same day my pod shouldve arrived by 9 AM but did not come until well after one in the afternoon. Once I realize that my items would not fit in the pod, I called in and beg for a replacement.
I was told that I had to cancel and be refunded because no replacement could be sent out. I asked for a supervisor and was told again by the rep that I would need to cancel in order to speak to a supervisor the representative canceled my order and said that I would be getting a full refund of $307. I received an email a day later saying that my cancellation did not qualify for a refund and was charged full price for a pod that I was unable to use, please be aware of this company. I have my stuff now sitting in a storage truck from Penske that Im paying $300 a week for until My Home is available.
I literally begged the representative not to cancel my order and to let me speak to a supervisor because I had absolutely nowhere to store my stuff seeing as how most of the day was spent waiting on the pod to be delivered. The representative refused to let me speak to a supervisor and continuously Said that they needed to cancel my order. The company charged me full price saying that I canceled the order instead of getting a bigger pod if they would just listen to the phone call that was recorded.
They would hear that I was forced to cancel and begged for a new pod to be sent out , beware of this company. It is a scam.

Verified BuyerThey entered the wrong address. And could not get ahold of anyone who would or had authority to change or expedite the delivery.
Had to call to arrange for delivery and person putting in delivery location put right address but kept zip code of billing address
POD never apologized or tried to rectify situation. Text messages never stated the delivery location and I was not in a place where I could check my account (so I didnt see the wrong zip).
However had verified with person on the phone.
They said they would put in a work order and it would take 72 hours. They also said it would cost almost $1000 to go to new location and be delivered and they couldnt do it for over 1 1/2 weeks (pod is 2 hours away)
I had arranged for people to unload the pod, arranged work, and arranged deliveries.

I have not been able to reach anyone to talk with!!! I've tried every option given and none has resulted in a live person to talk with.
A PODS container has been on our one-block one-way street in DC (Morris Place NE) for THREE WEEKS, taking up 2 parking spaces.
It had a parking permit for a time period but that expired a week ago. It is an impediment to driving down and parking on the street as it is wide. WHEN WILL IT BE REMOVED?
Of not in one day (by tomorrow June 14) I will call the police about it.

Pods hires inexperienced drivers and damages your property
PODs hired an inexperienced driver who ran into my Cherry tree and broke their hydraulic lift in my tree/driveway breaking the tree virtually in half. They are refusing to take any responsibility because we signed a waiver AFTER the fact.
The manger who came to fix the lift
"stated that the driver "made a series of bad decisions"; this company refuses to take responsibility for its drivers actions. Pitiful.

I wouldn't recommend anyone start a dog house project with parts from a company that already has bad reviews. In my experience, they are probably the worst company I've ever dealt with.
The money that I've spent with them over the last three and a half years seems unjustifiable given the poor quality of their customer service. I was trying to have my parts towed back to my house so I could unload them. They picked up the parts from my yard, but now they're saying they can't put them back in my yard, which is a lie. These parts remained in my yard for a year and a half without issue, so I don't understand the problem with placing them back where they were picked up from.
My goal is to simply get my stuff out of there and part ways. But they wanted me to put my things on the street and sign a waiver absolving them of any responsibility, when I clearly told them I didn't want my stuff on the street.
It appears they don't want to take responsibility for the choices they want to make. If I owned a parts company, my number one business rule would be to provide great customer service, and if my customer wanted a part on their roof, I'd figure out a way to make it happen.
