Extremely poor customer service and damage to our home
I am a returning PODS customer. Three years ago we had a great experience moving from Massachusetts to Colorado- which is why I chose PODS again.
We had an attentive personal account manager that was available and responsive throughout the process.
This experience was VERY DIFFERENT.
1. It took 3-4 phone calls just to get the POD reserved- each time I got a different quote. Each time they had trouble with their internet/ system such that they could not process my CC and I would have to call back. Wasted about 4 hours just on the reservation and received over 15 automated emails with different quotes/ invoices and confusing information and they still said I had not paid for the reservation.

Delivery was from 9-12. I called at 12:30- waited an hour on hold- was told the truck broke down (but no one called and I had movers on the lock waiting)- final delivery was after 4:00pm.

During the delivery the driver damage the siding of the house in multiple locations. He took pictures and reported it.
Delivery was on July 6th.
In spite of multiple emails (Kim Harvey - customer service) and phone calls- NO ONE HAS RESPONDED or provided any compensation to the home damage.
The one good aspect of this experience was the professionalism of the driver that delivered our POD- but all the logistics and service around that experience has been really bad!

I received half of a month refund after calling
several times to complain about being charged a whole month for not notifying
PODS to pick up our empty POD until 2 days after billing cycle, which was 2 days after they delivered it. I tried 4 times to call PODS to
ask them to pick up the container.
Each time
I waited on hold for up to an hour, It said any
changes could be made on- line but they cannot. I was told that when they tried to
leave a message for the RR PODS and there
was no answer and the mailbox was full.
You cannot get through to a person to help. I am asking for a full refund as I called 4 times to get the POD removed. I let them know we
are both disabled and my husband is Vet.
When I was transferred to AR Manager, he wouldn't give me the name or # or address of
someone higher up to contact.
I am requesting that my full refund be given
crediting my credit card for the charge for a whole month.
This is totally unfair. I
am surprised that a company would
act this way with no regard for their customers.

Apparently the PODS scheduling system does not account for service to areas that are a distance from a PODS storage facility. I was first able to schedule a delivery of my pods on a Friday (July 3) only to be informed late on July 2nd that PODS only delivers to my area (Granite Falls, NC) on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I was rescheduled for July 8th, since July 6th was already booked.
Finally got my containers on July 8th, and had the first two of my 3 containers empty by the time the third one arrived. We asked the driver if he could take one of the empty pods back, and he said he was not supposed to but would for $50, which we paid him in cash, and he took one container. My account was never updated to show that one container was returned, and then on July 12th, someone in the Charlotte warehouse rescheduled my pickup from July 13 to July 15th, without calling me, because now they only do 4 deliveries per Tuesday/Thursday to Granite Falls, and my account was still showing that I have 3 containers. I am tired of being rescheduled against my will, and of the shady behavior I have encountered with this company.
Why are PODS reps even able to schedule deliveries to Granite Falls for days other than Tues/Thurs if they will only come here on those days? I

Rescheduled AGAIN!!!
Using PODS for my cross country move has turned out to be a huge mistake. Apparently the PODS scheduling system does not account for service to areas that are a distance from a PODS storage facility.

I am tired of being rescheduled against my will, and of the shady behavior I have encountered with this company. I get apologies, but at this point apologies are worthless to me. Why are PODS reps even able to schedule deliveries to Granite Falls for days other than Tues/Thurs if they will only come here on those days? I have spent hours sitting on hold and talking to people trying to get these scheduling issues straightened out, and every person I have talked to is unaware of the delivery day restriction until they do a bunch of checking and research.
This is not fair to the customer or the PODS reps who are trying to help customers.
Why do you have such terrible communication within the company??? I REFUSE to pay any additional storage or any other kind of fee for that matter as a result of the gross incompetence that has occurred with my account.
